Day 4 - On the road to Santa Rita...and a Movie

Another good breakfast (egg enchiladas) was had this morning down the street. Before we left for our school puppet show, we had devotional as a group.

We loaded up the bus and headed to the Santa Rita Assembly of God school. Many of the group played and talked to the kids while others setup the assembly hall with the puppet stage (finally figuring out how it goes) and audio equipment.

We brought the kids into the Assembly hall and were greeted warmly by the principal. We performed songs, puppet show, and a great lesson on Joy and Peace by Christy Brasher. We then played Red Rover, Red Rover until our arms about fell off...great fun!

We brought the kids back in and Amelia Foshee gave a powerful Gospel message using the bracelets we had given the students before we left them.

Arriving at the church, some of the Guadalupe school kids got out for lunch and came to visit. Frisbees, jump rope, and volleyball were all played with great fun. We had another lunch at the pastors house prior to headed back to the hotel for a quick nap before VBS...grass doesn't have much time to grow with this group! Michael Allen also wants lots and lots of mangos!

We arrived back for Day 2 of the VBS. Today we had another large number of kids come to the church. Christy again gave the message on Joy and Peace to the group as they dived in with songs and crafts. Lots of sports again..most popular was the "keepaway of hats"

Dinner was served at the restaurant down the street for the hotel. We brought a projector to the church for the community to watch "Finding Nemo". A crowd almost the same size as VBS came to watch and be ministered to by our staff.

Returning to hotel for devotional and sleep. Another busy day...but another fruitful day in our lives and the lives of the people that were ministered to.

MATTHEW 24:14

This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.
