Wednesday - June 10th

Today we had the opportunity to go to Cornerstone High School, where we did a puppet presentation about what it means to be "a child of God" and how to become "a child of God." We left each student with a small gift, a salvation bracelet.

We also finished several of our work projects: painting the inside of the church, clearing an overgrown portion of the property, cleaning the fence line between the church and the school, and repainting the the church sign. We also started painting the outside of the building today.

We had another large crowd at VBS today and one young girl prayed to receive Christ.  We have had many opportunities to directly share the Gospel, and it is encouraging to see individuals within our group 'step out" in faithful obedience to share the Good News.

We had a great fellowship at Prince of Peace this evening; it was wonderful to see Pastor Juan and his family, the Chambers, and members of their congregation.

Another really emotional thing that happened today was when we gave a cart to one of Pastor Ermilio's neighbors who we had met last year and who has a severely deformed, adult child.  For years she has virtually homebound without any other family to watch over that child, even to the point of being unable to attend church.  She said that she and her daughter would be at our closing service on Thursday night, singing praises to God!

Thanks for your continued prayers.

  1. Thanks again for sharing your daily activities and photos. It is encouraging to see the many smiling faces ; to see the team reaching out to meet the real-life needs of those encountered; and to know that the team is stepping out in faith and courage to share the “Good News” of the love of Christ. Praying that the team will truly feel the unity of the body of Christ in all of its diversity. Happy Anniversary to Chuck and Kent.
